About me...

Jim Becker (aka Beckerjim) is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer who played in several bands through the 70's and 80's, including Street Child and The Rod Wilvanbec Band before moving to Los Angeles in 1984 and soon formed The Barnburners of Los Angeles - a trio that performed for three years on the Sunset Strip and several larger venues in Los Angeles before disbanding in 1989. With the exception of a short rebirth of the Barnburners in 1992, Jim took time from the music scene to provide for his family and raise 3 daughters with his wife, Eva - all the while writing and looking for an opportunity to resume performing. In 2007, Jim jumped back into music with the release of his first solo album "Attack of the Panic Button". Since then, Jim has been on a roll, producing Jamie's album and releasing a 5 additional albums: "Living Black'n White", "Unprotected", "Experimental Echoes", "Gathering Formation", and "Testosterone" as well as re-releasing The Barnburners of Los Angeles album "Wish You Blue". Jim's music ranges from classic and alternative rock to country, folk, and blues. Jim is currently working on yet another album, which he calls his most intense and powerful yet and hopes to complete the recordings by the end of 2010. Jim still loves baseball and has also begun publishing a wine blog called 976wine.
